Who can invest?

Investors from overseas have the same rights and options as New Zealanders, when it comes to buying property. Except for properties that are larger than 5 hectares or worth more than NZ $ 10 million. Even homes that fall into one of these categories are an option – they only need special authorization from the Overseas Investment Office.

Except for properties that fall in either one of those two categories, the market is completely open.
